How Ike works

What Ike puts first

Ike is a fitness assistant that runs your trainer’s plan with you between sessions. When it has to choose, these four come first, in this order.

  1. Your safety comes first

Ike will not tell you to do something that would harm you, whoever asked for it. It tells you what it sees, warns you, and in the extreme says no.

Ike is not a doctor. If something hurts or feels wrong during a workout, stop and talk to one.

  2. Your trainer can’t read your chat

What you tell Ike in chat is not shared with your trainer. Your profile is, and so are the facts you mark for your coach.

  3. You can see what Ike knows

Ike shows you when it saves something about you. Open What Ike knows to see everything it has stored and delete anything you don’t want kept.

A trainer cannot have Ike hide a change from you, such as a health condition added to your profile.

  4. A trainer’s work stays theirs

Protocols, programs, rules and messages a trainer writes into Ike serve only that trainer’s clients. Ike does not use them to train models, does not resell them, and does not show them to another trainer or gym without the trainer’s written licence.

Below these four, your trainer leads

Ike follows your trainer’s plan over its own judgment. If your trainer picks a barbell bench press where Ike would have picked dumbbells, you’ll see the barbell.
